Crowe Keeps It Real

B-Man hookin' me up with some quality writing from ESPN:

Prior to making the film, which opens Friday, Crowe already was struggling with a series of aches and pains including two bad Achilles tendons, sore ribs and a bum shoulder. During the shoot, he suffered through 12 minor concussions and a couple of loosened teeth. He also had to have surgery on his other shoulder after dislocating it.
Most actors collecting $20 million paychecks probably wouldn't allow some minimum-wage thespian or extra to throw jabs at their flawless mugs and bods, but Crowe was willing to take a beating to keep it real.

Good stuff

BREAKING NEWS!!!!

I have a new job... more to come.

Well, friends... Here is the deal - I will be moving up in Company X. I took a grade increase which is a nice, hefty raise. Nice to the point where (and I do not like to brag at all, so forgive me if it sounds like I am, because I am incredibly excited) my new hiring manager said, "I have never seen a pay increase like this." But that was not the only reason why I moved on. I now get to be the middleman in the marketing/finance/sales department of a very profitable product line. A huge step forward for me. I get to manage inventory, make sales, see marketing development plans, the finances behind it all... very important to me and my future. I am extremley proud of myself, if I must say.

That is what was making me completly exhausted and stressed out. Now, it is all done with. Except for the 193 phone calls I am getting from my bosses.

Tag, you're it

First things first. I said the NHL lockout would END today. I will be wrong. I hate being wrong. My watch says the 11th (I cannot change the date since the dial broke off), so, by the 16th, I mean by what my watch says - give me the benefit of the doubt...

Anyway, back to the idea of Tag. I hated Tag on the playgrounds, and I hate phone Tag. first of all, playground Tag would have been fun if I possesed the spin moves of a Barry Sanders, Duce Staley or Walter Payton, but I don't. I am as quick and nimble as Ted Washington's 40 time (if he could finish it). So, for that reason, I did not like it. Nowadays, I play phone Tag. I am awaitng a call but keep on missing it. Here is the timeline of events.

Yesterday, 1:00pm: Call comes in and hits my VM. Asking for a good time to get in touch with me, I provide him with my a time in an email, per his request.
Yesterday, 5:00pm: I hear nothing back, wait until 5:30, then leave.
Today, 8:15am: The number left for me on his VM is a different number than what the online directory says. I leave a message with the number from the online directory, since, when called, my caller ID displays his name. On the mystery number, another name comes up. I leave a message. Now, I am wondering if an email and a call to the other number is necessary.

God damn, can't this come to an end? Maybe my phone will just ring now.... NOW!... nope... now?!... maybe if I point to it... nope. Oh well, something will wind up happening today, just don't know what...
